The moon passes in front of Mars on December 8, 2022, for the second and final time this year.

Occultation hunters in North America, Northern Africa, and Western Europe will have a view of the moon passing in front of Mars.  This event will take place completely at night, making it one of the most easily visible occultations of 2022.
